The Levi’s brand is one of the most celebrated names in the history of apparel. Although they began as a company known for their riveted jeans, over the years Levi’s has expanded to become an important force in the fashion industry for its renowned practices in sustainability, innovation, community, and creativity. In support of Levi’s ongoing focus on forward-thinking collaborations and the arts, we developed several campaigns that meaningfully engaged with the creative community.
One of which in support of Levi’s commitment to sustainable finishing practices, “Finished by Nature” was a museum intervention project spanning two museums, MOCA in Los Angeles and the D-Museum in Seoul. At the MOCA, a large structure of recycled denim was displayed utilizing natural sunlight and aging processes to distress the fabric. The D-Museum featured a similar recycled denim tapestry displayed outdoors which was painted on by contemporary artist, MADSAKI. The denim fabric used in these museum installations was then repurposed to construct a one-of-a-kind upcycled capsule collection.
